Gitte Kath pursued her studies at the Kolding School of Design from 1968 to 1972. Since 1974, she has maintained an extensive and distinguished career as a director, dramaturge, and designer of stage sets, costumes, and graphic materials at Theatre Møllen in Haderslev, Denmark, producing work for both children’s and adult audiences.
Kath’s engagement with poster design originated from the practical need to promote her theatrical productions. Over time, her distinctive visual language has played a pivotal role in establishing Theatre Møllen as one of Denmark’s most prominent and recognizable cultural institutions.
Her work has been recognized with numerous international awards for both her theater productions and poster designs. Furthermore, she has served as a juror at several prestigious international exhibitions and has contributed significantly to the field of design education through her teaching at the Kolding School of Design and her leadership of workshops worldwide.
